So there I was, having the makings of a really bad day, when I decided I was crazy and depressed enough to go poke around the internet for one of those deranged anime series and...

I swear man, nothing could EVER prepare me for this:

Well, the damned thing is that the anime apparently takes shots of the voice actors and mixes it with hand-drawn animation - the first few episodes had me wondering, "Who the hell am I looking at, and why does he look so familiar?" before Miki's episode came on and I had a huge WHAT, I KNOW THIS MAN, I GET HILARIOUSLY WACKY DREAMS ABOUT HIM. And only then did it occur to me that I had been staring at people like Morikawa and Sakurai for the past episodes.


Holy shit, hand-drawn sweat.


BWAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH. Thankfully, it's only in still, close-up shots when they show him AS Miki. The rest of the time, he's actually drawn, because that would've complicated a couple of possibly homoerotic nude scenes.

This shit is awesome. Thank you, insane animators and whoever else was on drugs, my day is made.

It's a 'hybrid' anime series called Kuchuu Buranko, or alternatively, Trapeze. I'm sure it's been fansubbed by gg or some other group. You can check out the earlier comments for other info about it.

Miki makes a lot of things automatically hilarious. :D
